Dr. Fatma C\u00f6mert, \u201cVerem E\u011fitim ve Propaganda Haftas\u0131\u201d dolay\u0131s\u0131yla toplumun hastal\u0131k hakk\u0131nda bilin\u00e7lenmesi tan\u0131 ve tedavisi ile ilgili bilgi sahibi olmas\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan a\u00e7\u0131klamalarda bulundu. 1947 y\u0131l\u0131nda kutlanmaya ba\u015flanan \u201cVerem E\u011fitim ve Propaganda Haftas\u0131\u201d, her y\u0131l ocak ay\u0131n\u0131n ilk haftas\u0131nda kutland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 belirten Uzm. Dr. Fatma C\u00f6mert, &#8220;Verem Haftas\u0131\u2019ndaki ama\u00e7, kamuoyunun bilgilendirilmesi, toplumun verem (t\u00fcberk\u00fcloz) hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve hastal\u0131kla m\u00fccadele konusunda bilin\u00e7lendirilmesidir. T\u00fcberk\u00fcloz, halk aras\u0131nda Verem Hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131 olarak da bilinen bula\u015f\u0131c\u0131 bir enfeksiyon hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131d\u0131r. T\u00fcberk\u00fcloz halen d\u00fcnya genelinde ve \u00fclkemizde \u00f6nemli bir halk sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 sorunu olmaya devam etmektedir. T\u00fcberk\u00fcloz basili hava yolu ile bula\u015f\u0131r. Basilin kayna\u011f\u0131, tedavi g\u00f6rmemi\u015f veya d\u00fczenli tedavi g\u00f6rmeyen aktif akci\u011fer ve g\u0131rtlak t\u00fcberk\u00fclozu olan hastalard\u0131r&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTedavide ila\u00e7 fakt\u00f6r\u00fc\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n bula\u015fma ve tedavi y\u00f6ntemleri ile ilgili a\u00e7\u0131klamalarda bulunan Dr. Fatma C\u00f6mert, \u201cHasta insanlardan \u00f6ks\u00fcrme ve hap\u015f\u0131rma ile ortama yay\u0131lan mikrobun solunum yolu ile al\u0131nmas\u0131 sonucu bula\u015f\u0131r. Hastalar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011funda ortalama 2-3 haftada bula\u015ft\u0131r\u0131c\u0131l\u0131k yok olur. 15 g\u00fcnden uzun s\u00fcren \u00f6ks\u00fcr\u00fck \u015fikayeti, y\u00fcksek ate\u015f, gece terlemesi, \u015fiddetli g\u00f6\u011f\u00fcs a\u011fr\u0131s\u0131, i\u015ftahs\u0131zl\u0131k, h\u0131zl\u0131 kilo kayb\u0131, halsizlik, yorgunluk, \u0130lerleyen d\u00f6nemlerde kanl\u0131 balgam g\u00f6r\u00fclmesi gibi belirtilerle ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar. T\u00fcberk\u00fcloz tedavisinde verilen ila\u00e7lar\u0131n d\u00fczenli i\u00e7ilmesi \u00e7ok \u00f6nemlidir. Tedavide ila\u00e7lar eksik ya da d\u00fczensiz kullan\u0131l\u0131rsa hastal\u0131k iyile\u015fmez, tedavi durumu g\u00fc\u00e7le\u015fir.
