Dr. Hasan T\u00fcrkez, \u201cNanoteknolojinin geli\u015fmesine ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak daha ula\u015f\u0131labilir, daha g\u00fc\u00e7l\u00fc ve daha yok edici atomik silahlar ile pahal\u0131 nanoteknoloji \u00fcr\u00fcn\u00fc sahiplerinin hegamonyas\u0131n\u0131n bu teknolojinin istenmeyen sonu\u00e7lar\u0131 oldu\u011funu ayr\u0131ca baz\u0131 pazarlarda (ya\u011f ve m\u00fccevher gibi) radikal de\u011fi\u015fimlerin g\u00f6r\u00fclebilece\u011fini ve buda i\u015fsizlik art\u0131\u015f\u0131na neden olabilir. Di\u011fer taraftan s\u00f6z konusu nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n ve bunlar\u0131n muhtevalar\u0131nda yer ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 nanoteknoloji \u00fcr\u00fcnlerinin insan ve \u00e7evre sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00fczerinde ciddi olumsuz etkilerinin bulunmas\u0131 bu teknolojiye pozitif bak\u0131\u015f\u0131n de\u011fi\u015fmesine neden olaca\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. Nanoteknoloji temelli ya da nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131k i\u00e7eren ticari \u00fcr\u00fcnlerin say\u0131s\u0131n\u0131n ve \u00fcretimlerinin h\u0131zl\u0131 bir bi\u00e7imde art\u0131\u015f\u0131 ba\u015fta i\u015f\u00e7iler olmak \u00fczere t\u00fcketicileri ve \u00e7evreyi nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131k maruziyetinden sak\u0131nmay\u0131 imk\u00e2ns\u0131z k\u0131lmaktad\u0131r. Geni\u015f uygulama alanlar\u0131na sahip nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n geli\u015ftirilebilmesi i\u00e7in, bu nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n insan sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve \u00e7evre \u00fczerindeki potansiyel risklerinin dikkate al\u0131narak \u00e7ok boyutlu de\u011ferlendirilmesi gerekti\u011fini nitekim son \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131klar taraf\u0131ndan olu\u015fturulan hava kirlili\u011finin akci\u011ferlerde fonksiyon kay\u0131plar\u0131na yol a\u00e7arak akci\u011fer ve kalp hastal\u0131klar\u0131ndan \u00f6l\u00fcm olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 art\u0131rd\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ortaya koydu\u011funu. \u00dcstelik kan beyin bariyerini kolayl\u0131kla ge\u00e7ebilen bu par\u00e7ac\u0131klar\u0131n beyinde de ciddi yan etkilerinin olabilece\u011finin ortaya kondu\u011funu, \u00fcstelik nanopartik\u00fcl maruziyeti sonras\u0131nda genetik hasarlar ve buna ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak kanser geli\u015fimine ait sonu\u00e7lar\u0131n g\u00f6zlendi\u011fi ve ticari olarak kullan\u0131lan \u00e7e\u015fitli nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131\u011f\u0131n insanda genetik yap\u0131y\u0131 olumsuz etkiledi\u011fini farkl\u0131 \u00fcniversitelerdeki ara\u015ft\u0131rmac\u0131lardan olu\u015fturduklar\u0131 \u00f6zel bir ekiple 2007\u2019den bu yana y\u00fcr\u00fctt\u00fckleri \u00e7e\u015fitli ara\u015ft\u0131rmalar ile ortaya koymaktalar, ancak bu risk analizlerinin hen\u00fcz istenen say\u0131da olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 say\u0131sal verlerle ortada. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde ticari olarak kulan\u0131lmakta olan yakla\u015f\u0131k 150 farkl\u0131 nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131ktan sadece y\u00fczde 14\u2019\u00fcn\u00fcn genetik hasar ve y\u00fczde 9\u2019unun kanser olu\u015fturma potansiyellerinin ara\u015ft\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 geriye kalan yakla\u015f\u0131k %90\u2019l\u0131k dilimde yer alan nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131k t\u00fcrlerinin hen\u00fcz etkilerinin ortaya konulmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve bunun nanoteknolojiyi \u00e7\u0131kmaza s\u00fcr\u00fckleyen en \u00f6nemli sorun olarak g\u00f6rd\u00fcklerini, t\u00fcm olumsuzluklar\u0131na ra\u011fmen bu teknoloji yar\u0131\u015f\u0131nda geri kalmamam\u0131z ve nanoteknoloji \u00fcretmemiz gerekmektedir. Nanoteknolojiyi insan ve \u00e7evre sa\u011fl\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00fczerinde ciddi tehdit unsuru olmaktan \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131p topluma faydal\u0131 \u00fcr\u00fcnlere d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrmenin yolunun biyo-g\u00fcvenilir oldu\u011fu belirlenen nanopar\u00e7ac\u0131klar \u00fczerinde \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmaktan ge\u00e7mektedir.
